...he got the benefit of a close call a week ago (in the extra inning 'win') yet is called out on a close call and goes ballistic throwing his helmet and getting ejected in a close game?

Yeah he's really professional.

Come on give him a break! You remember when he gave himself a pat on the back for have enough "self control" to only push that Red Sox fan instead of beating the crap out of him.
  • Although I don't excuse his childish actions, I gotta side with Morgan on the ejection being a too much as players already get fined for throwing equipment - it's not like he threw it at anyone. You could tell he was mad all game - especially his last at bat when the ump called a strike that was 6 inches off the plate.

Exactly - and the media by and large agreed with that! The fan goes for the ball, Sheff thinks the fan is throwing a punch at him (!), and rears back to slug the fan. He holds up, and is a hero in the media. Amazing - and tonight he snaps again!

Those calls were going both ways...unit got a strike that was a good foot outside (they showed it on their K zone thing too...which I was surprised they'd show).

The home plate ump was really bad tonight.

I agree on both accounts – the home plate ump was "consistently" bad.

Wow spammy you think I have anger issues? I'd hate to think what you think Sheffy boy has!

    oh wait! He's a yankee...he can't do anything wrong.

Instead of being a FAN and being a MAN and saying 'yeah, he overreacted' you make a comment some 12 year old would.

    Typical spammy.
