Coin management software??

Any recommendations, particularly for the Mac Op system? PC would be ok too though. Looking for something with a good inventory system by type including early and modern commem.s and a system for keeping track of profits and/or losses for us wannabes. Something downloadable would be good too. Thanks.

I use a filemaker pro database which works just fine for me. I like changing it to suit my needs.

allow me then to give a different take on it then.

i suggest run MYSQL on a windows/unix computer.
i then suggest PHPMYADMIN to manage the mysql database and have
access to incredible tools inside it.

Learn the language of making queries, and you will never go back.

Once your db is populated, try learning php to make incredible front ends
to access your data. Of course php needs a webserver, try apache on your
windows/unix workstation.

I use Liberty Street's CoinManage. It's kind of pricey and takes up a lot of space but, IMO (In My Opinion), is the best coin managing software i've ever used.

I bought a number of coin specific management programs and in the end I made my own excel sheets and enter the data myself.
Not very hightech but it manages a respectable sized collection.
