Opinions on grade 09-s and Bust dime grade/attribute

A friend of mine had these left to him by family.
1909-s I know little or nothing about lincolns other than this is a better date, but I called it a Fine maybe VF- can the lincoln experts chime in? It does has a few dings to the left of "T" in Trust and under "UR" in Pluribus. I have been thinking about buying one for a type set......anyway opinions welcome...
1834 Bust Dime (Large 4) - Cleaned obverse but not as nasty as the picture indicates in hand. Called it a low VF.... any opinions or attribute would be greatly appreciated!
