1884-O Pitting, VAM Number?

Does this 1884-O have enough pitting to qualify for a VAM number? I think the coin is a VAM-12 instead of VAM-6 as I listed on the image.

  • Your coin is not a VAM 6 or a VAM 12. Your coin appears to have a "very far date".

    I would be more inclined to suspect that it is a VAM 21A. But without having coin "in-hand" for proper examination, this is only a guess. I hope this helps.

    21A III25 · C3n (Very Far Date, O/O Curved, Pitted Obverse) (181) I-2 R-5
    Obverse III25– A few scattered raised dots from rust pits in die on jaw, neck and around 2 and 3 left stars.
