I posted my new purchase from the Mid-America show in another thread. This 1795 half dime is the LM-6 plate coin and comes from the Ed Price Collection. When NGC certified this collection, they put out this press release:
"Numismatic Guaranty Corporation is pleased to announce that it has certified the superb collection of early United States half dimes assembled by Mr. Ed Price of New Jersey. Comprising 31 coins from 1794 through 1805, this collection is without peer for both rarity and completeness.
Every known variety is represented, and each specimen in Price's set served as the plate coin for the standard reference on this series (Federal Half Dimes 1792-1837, by Russell J. Logan and John W. McCloskey). NGC has attributed all of Price's half dimes by Logan-McCloskey numbers under its VarietyPlus grading and attribution service. "
Thanks to BillJones for this information: LM-6 has a rarity of R-6 with only 13-30 known. At that time, the finest they had seen was this VF coin.

I too am lucky enough to own a Logan/McCloskey plate coin (1829 LM4).
<< <i>What is a "plate coin"? >>
A plate coin is the actual coin that was imaged and displayed in the reference book as the specific example of that particular die marriage or re-marriage. Pick up any Logan/McCloskey Federal Half Dimes book and you'll be able to see any of the 4 plate coins mentioned in this thread.
