An interesting ebay situation.

I just recieved payment from an auction I did in November of 2004. The envelope is postmarked Nov, 15,2004.
This was from when I first started sellling on ebay and I was mailing coins (cheap ones) prior to receiving payment if the buyer had great feedback. Anyway, I never received payment for this coin and went rounds with the buyer. Since I figured I took the risk of mailing before payment, I finally told the lady to enjoy the coin and have a Merry Christmas. (She had insisted, of course, that payment was sent) Now I guess I'll try to cash the Money order and I'll probably mail the lady a letter letting her know what happened. I really missed that $8.50.

It says its good for a year. I think neither of us left feedback.
People are basically honest so I gave her the benefit of the doubt.
That's pretty interesting. I've had plenty of things lost or stolen and have had domestic mail of mine delayed for almost two weeks, but never seven months!
2 days ago we had a business owner from 2 blocks down the street bring us our mail(bills
But I'd have to say--if it weren't for the Postal Service and their generally excellent service, most everybody would be in a world of hurt.
I think a case good be made that if it were not for the Postal Service and the US Mint--2 institutions that take a lot of abuse--this country would be a lot different than what it is.

Fair enough. I've had several gripes with the Postal Service over the years, but they do deserve credit for getting it right most of the time.
