This is certainly a creative auction . . .

Gotta give this seller a "10" for imagination:

option to buy

Is this even legal?

This is very creative - better than selling futures! I gotta give the guy credit - just wonder if there is an ebay rule against selling the option/privilege to buy his stuff? My guess is...yes. Otherwise, there could be a rash of this sh!t in the future.

  • stone,

Why put it on ebay with the 2000.00 buy it now..

just send the scans of the cards..use escrow.com and be done with it..what if the non option winner sees the buy it now and presses the button, then the option winner is out his option fee...and the non option winner gets the cards.. under ebay rules if I hit the buy it now button the seller has to deliver.
The Link below will take you to the PSA Boards 1952 Set Build, I also have made 5 slideshows each slideshow is 100 cards long, card numbers 1-99,100-199,200-299,300-399, and 400-407
Link To Scanned 1952 Topps Cards Set is now 90% Complete Plus Slideshows of the 52 Set

That truly is a new one to me - but it seems ridiculous. You hope that these guys put as much effort into their daily activities as they do coming up with ways to scam money from Ebayers...
