Topps Heritage Related eBay purchase... and questions

Hello Gentlemen-
So hopefully tonight I landed the keystone to my Heritage collection. The focus of my collection over the past year has really shifted from my PSA Nolan Ryans to Topps Heritage. I can't think of a card that epitomizes the Heritage sets more than the 2001 Willie Mays red auto. I won this auction tonight:
100% FB seller, with cell # in auction
As most of you know, my budget is pretty restricted for now. The card was being auctioned as one of two cards in a lot - the second being a 1999 UD Mays GU bat. Doesn't seem like much, but the BV is $300, and looks like it's a pretty hot commodity!
Past auction for Mays bat
My main question for now is, does anybody know about red autos that aren't numbered (I'm looking at you Kevin)? The auto looks totally legit (ie-not traced over blue). I'm figuring that most folks assumed that the bat card was just another GU, but I'm pretty sure it was one of the first cards of that type. I plan on turning the bat card to help pay for the auction I won, end result is hopefully an 01 Red Mays auto for less than $100! Any input on either of these cards is appreciated.

Great buy Jeff.
Did you include a "Hooked On Phonics" course as payment?
The seller needs it.
I'm in awe - those are the best of the bunch! On the reds - this one off ebay is numbered on the back.
And I don't see a numbering on the one from last nite?
Here's another?
This is one that may need some more investigation? This is one where I would consider contacting the seller and asking and then ask for the serial number on the hologram and then call Topps and ask for advice. If the guy is on the up and up, he surely would want this resolved. It's possible the card got out without being numbered - perhaps it was an extra they made in case someone sent theirs in all destroyed from packaging?

<< <i>Mike would know, but if the card is in fact legit - it's a sweet card! Congrats and good luck with it... >>

I was excited about the card - if it's a fake, it's one hell of a fake! But, I can't see a number like Jeff had stated.
Like I said, if real, I think it got out by accident and is an extra that would be used for customer relations submissions.

I just read the auction and the guy states that there is no number on the back!
I think the card is totally legit and as I thought before - a card that has slipped by without a numbering.
So either there are 52 more out there or only 51 with this one being the rare "phantom" numbered variation.
Good luck Mud
