Do you ever see toning ony newer ASE's

I have a 1999 ASE that is showing toning on the rim about an 1/8 inch wide all the way around. the coin is i'd bet ms 69.

It isn't unheard of. Lucy has several posts on this topic. If I remember correctly, it has something to do with the fact that the silver is not as stable or something and therefore tones much easier.

The silver is WAY more pure than traditional coins minted for circulation, as a result of it being purer than 90%, it tones much quicker.
I tested a few different methods of toning some, and one turned completely black in just a month due to high sulfur.
