Actual SMR

Our deceitful buddy Nomar was ROBBED a 10 for his (her?) 9OC Bird/Erving/Magic RC. So, of course he litters the description with the value of a PSA 10 and the words PSA 10. The bidding is up to $510 already. What is the actual SMR for a 7 on this card, since that is what its true value is.

I think the reason I have such a beef is the choice of name - nomar is one of my favorite players, and he went to my school. Maybe if the scammer changes to giambi666, I wouldn't have such a problem.

And, to have the stones to say that the card wasn't graded right -
I am fairly new to the board and I haven't gottne sick of the scammer or what will this grade? threads yet.

How can we get dirt bags like this off of ebay?
Collecting all cards - Gus Zernial

Then, he whines about how he was "robbed", and it "should be a 9", but it isn't. Boy, Nomar is one unlucky dude in the grading room, isn't he?
Then, midway down the auction description, he really lies -
<< <i>This card was graded a MINT 9 by PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator) PSA along with BGS (Beckett Grading Service), and BVG (Beckett Vintage Grading) are by far the most respected and trusted brands in sports card grading. This card was graded by a professional card grader at PSA. >>
It's not a PSA 9, genius! It's a PSA 7 - and it's worth maybe $25.00, tops!
Now if this isn't a bunch of crapola, I don't know what is. And, again, I can't believe this doesn't violate some Ebay policy.
I just thought I would add my $.02 regarding the "PSA 10." I emailed the seller
the following message:
"Please confirm that the card for auction is a PSA 9OC and not a PSA 10. Thank
you."
This is the response that I received.
"I have inspected the card and deem it a 10 in my professional opinion. I have had many bad experiences with PSA graders. I have had Mint 9's with dings and 7's that look perfect. Grading is very subjective. Sometimes you get someone very anal, sometimes you get someone that is blatenly retarded. All you can hope for is someone who knows what they are doing. Unfortunetly, which is the case with this beautiful card, I got someone who does not know what they are doing.
Thanks,
Irena (nomar5378) "
All thoughts and comments are welcomed. Of course, it goes without saying that
her "professional opinion" is worth about $.02 and PSA gets the other $99.98.

<< <i>WE ONLY SELL GRADED CARDS FROM THE MOST TRUSTED GRADERS IN THE INDUSTRY (PSA, BGS, BVG, GAI, AND SGC). YOU WON'T FIND ANY GRADED CARDS FROM ANY INFERIOR GRADING COMPANIES IN OUR EBAY LISTINGS.

So, I guess she forgot to include the "blatantly retarded" graders...
GG
Too bad that's not what he's selling!

<< <i>The auction was removed for some reason. Did Ebay actually get off their dead arses and do something?? >>
I reported to ebay under the keyword spamming rule. I don't know if anyone else did also.
