South Africa 1955 Proof Set. Very nice untoned silver and mainly red bronze coins. You don't find too many sets like this one. Comes with a case and coins are shipped in flips so they aren't flying around during shipping. The price may seem a little high to some, but this is an extraordinary set, of the nicest ones I have ever seen. I sold a run of mill 1955 Proof Set for $52 a couple months ago. Price $75 ppd to US. *SALE PENDING*

This is a really nice set Don, if I were you I'd slab the bronze coins and the 5S and sell for more than the entire set. The 54 bronze coins that I got from you sold for that ,even if newsman practically stole the penny.image But it's the hussle,I know.

edit: since I posted, I have a nice Swiss Bern 1826 1 batzen, billon, gEF, very nicely toned $25 free shipping. image

Dimitri, I have a bunch of silver SA proof coins at NGC right now. I expect them to come back as CAM or Deep CAM.

Turnaround time at NGC is about 4 weeks now and with the additonal cost I'd perfer to sell the coins as a set.

I didn't know they still let you own those in Canada.

LOL, well Canadian gun laws are tight compared to those in the United States. But the gun laws up here do not make much sense. For example, I can own a 14.5mm Russian PTRD anti-tank rifle, but I cannot own a semi-automatic version of the AK-47 or any of it's varients, including the Dragonov which is a sniper rifle... BTW the 14.5mm PTRD is considered a non-restricted weapon, so I could lawfully take the gun shopping with me to Sears image and a non-restricted rifle in the eyes of the Canadian government is considered a hunting rifle.image
