Bill Russell

Auction

Just curious and maybe someone knows? Bill Russell refused to sign for teamates or any fans after the his rookie year, if I remember correctly, so how can this be a vintage signature?

He rarely signed, but he did on occasion (apparently not for Tom Heinson though...). Nice item!
    Who is Rober Maris?

Include Tom "Satch" Sanders to that list.

Could they have picked a worse background to sign on top of, can hardly make out the sigs.

I agree with Sean - he signed but reluctantly with the rarity of Haley's Comet! I collect auto'ed books and this person obviously got it at a book signing - the guy can be very friendly when it is in his best interest.
    I'm not a fan.
