Kansas Silver Proof Quarter question

I have just received my 2005 Silver Proof Sets and on three of the five Kansas quarters there is a "something" at the edge of the coin parallel to Washington'd chin (looks like it is at the 8:43 position). I can not tell if it is an indentation or a cud).

Has anyone else seen this? Can you tell me what it might be? Should I send them back?

Thanks....

Bob

If you do not like them then yes, send them back. Without pictures, it is nearly impossible to know what you are describing.

I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!

Thanks for the reply.....I do not have a camera that can take the kind od detailed picture necessary (hints to wife have gone unfullfilled).

I was just wondering if someone else has seen this and can provide some insights.

  • I just checked my 4 sets - and nothing there - but I did find some type of flaw at about 3:18 on one Kansas reverse. The rest mostly really nice.
