Quarter error experts- is this one full steps?

Now here is something different for me....going through some of my pre-65 quarters and found this little hell of a gem....what is the premium for rpm's? There is no other doubling anywhere.

Take a good close look....

I count 4 and possibly a 5th.

It's a neat looking mintmark and I think the coin still has some premium value

How would you get ejection doubling on the mm only? There is a small die break at the breast going to the right wing but it's very faint and there is no doubling anywhere else on the coin.

Ejection doubling is very possible and happens quite frequently ONLY on the mintmark. The reason for this is that the mintmark is the only part of the design placed into the die by hand, and being as such doesn't always have the proper beveled angle necessary for a smooth release of the coin from the die. If the coin sticks to the die, it will usually be on the mintmark, thus where the doubling occurs.

Once you know that the rest of the design is very carefully beveled to release the coin easily from the dies, and that the mintmark could be tilted slightly when punched into the die, logic says this is what happens to many coins, yours included...it is not an RPM and it has no premium value.

Additionally, this wouldn't be an "error" even if it were an RPM....it would be a die variety. Errors are a completely different thing.
