Old Dirty Halves

Here are a few old dirty 50 cent pieces. The picture is huge and I've erased some of the marks on the slabs/flipsimage LOL. Thanks to another fellow I've started picking these up every so often. It's been rather fun.

A good start to a nice collection! Bust halves in circulated grades are a lot of fun. The higher grades are not quite as fun, for some reason. Do you have an Overton book yet? Attributing a group of raw busties can have some surprises!

By the way, Ben, nice looking start on your set.
Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.

I simply love old crusty bust halves. I have found it to be a great challenge to look for nice xf-au bust halves with an original look that haven't been damaged or scratched- when you find a nice example, it's worth the search...... image

I saw an 1819 STMAN had on another list and it was S P E C T A C UL A R. His had the original look but would have graded AU58 or MS63 easily!
