Never mind - I take it all back. I just looked at the picture I posted in the listing and the scratch is there. Guess it was my fault after all. Glad I did that before I made a fool of myself. Dang!

I wouldn't have taken the return once I learned of his expirements, since it meant he took it out of the holder it was shipped in.
But now that you have it, I'd return the coin and explain there is damage that wasn't there before and because of that, it is considered sold.
One of my published conditions for a return is:
The original item must be returned enclosed in the original UNOPENED package/holder and be in same condition as when shipped.
I'd much rather have a neg then a loss from a coin somebody else damaged.
