Pictures on Ebay?

Does anyone know how you could post more then 12 pictures on Ebay? I am trying to put an auction together and 12 pictures will not be enough. Any suggestions?

what i did once was listed another auction for the same item and added more pictures to the second listing. I made it clear that nothing was being sold in the second auction. in the real auction i mentioned that more pictures were added in a second listing. i started the second listing at least 12 hours later so it could be deleted when the first auction ended.

probably not exactly what you were looking for but this worked for me in the past.

If you have web hosting with your internet survice provider (you most likely do) or an account somewhere that hosts pictures you can add pictures in the description area..

This is the code to do so... <IMG SRC="http://www.whatever.com/thepic.jpg">

This way there's no extra charge.. post as many as you want as large as you want..

  • If it were me and I wanted to post that many images for a single auction, I think I'd just put a few (for the main items, key cards, etc...) actually in the item, and then add LINKS, rather than more scans, to images of the rest of the items. You must keep in mind that there are still alot of dialup users, such as myself, and that an auction with many pictures to load will be a turnoff.

If I have to post more than 2 or 3 pics, I do like Knuckles suggested. Just host on photobucket or something and use <img> tags in your auction. Make sure you make the pics .gif or .jpg and try to keep each under 100k if possible, or the load time gets a bit ridiciulous.

Another little known "trick" if you do not want to fool with getting a place to HOST your photos, is to build you auction and add all the photos you want using the Ebay photo section, then when you get to the Final Review of the auction, right click on each of the photos and get the PROPERTIES (the "http://www.whatever.com/thepic.jpg" part) and then EDIT your auction desciption to ADD THESE ADDRESSES you recorded with the code here
<center><img src="http://www.ebay.com/thephoto.jpg"></center> and make sure that the address that I underlined is what you replace with the Properties from the photos
And then be sure and REMOVE all the photos Except for ONE that you get for free. And then go to review the auction again and you will see that you now have FULL SIZE photos IN YOUR AUCTION at No Extra cost and you can do this several times and get all the ones you need!!! image
