I've used Brasso with good results. Will not take care of deep scratches though.

Several past threads discussed methods of removing scratches from slabs. Do a search.

Herb, instead of lighting, find an auto parts store near you and get some of the stuff for cleaning convertible windows. Can't recall the name of it right now, but I saw a before and after photo of a slab that was treated with it, and it worked wonders.

My dealer is also a jewler. He has some plastic buffing compund and uses his buffing wheel in his jewelry shop to buff out the scratches.
  • I don't know about the scratches but I just wanted to say that I really like the coinimage

3M Rubbing compound works good. Takes a bit of work.

  • Herb, that doesn't look like a Morgan or a Peace dollar, but it still looks real nice!

I've heard the same thing that K6AZ suggested. Also heard something about putting another layer over the plastic... like a clear piece of glass (preferably with no scratches).

I'll give the plastic cleaner a try.........

Back in the early 70's I was a plane captain, had to maintain a F4 Phantom, used a cleaner on the canopies that took out scratches, sure wish I had some of that stuff now..image

image Piece of clear glass......will give it a shot too.
