A Dansco set of Kennedys including the silver proofs or 3 1998-S matte Kennedy halves...

.....both cost around $750. Which do of the two do you think will be worth more in 7 years? The Dansco set does not include the 1998-S Matte silver half and the 3 1998-S Matte proof Kennedys are all graded PCGS SMS69.

The three 1998-S PCGS MS69 SMS Kennedys would probably be worth more because the silver proofs in the Dansco will degrade with time.

Steve27....Why would the dansco album degrade the silver proofs and not the clad proofs?

How are the money coins in the set? Look closely at the SMS stuff, the 69-D, the 70-D, the 71-72-P, the 82-83 P and D, etc. The set could be worth $500 or 5 figures. image

I think they're a push, but I'd choose the matte proofs.

You specified silver proofs in you original post, so I answered for silver proofs, but the same would be true of all proofs clad or silver.

    Paul,

If I were storing the set, I'd use airtites. JMO

I'd go with the matte proofs.

I think I am going to sell my Dansco Kennedy set and keep my three 1998-S matte silver Kennedy halves.image

Or they get killer rim toning and bring in a premium when sold....
