A bazillion posts by the man since April! How about a beer for Stingray. Can't have enough new guys who turn out to be productive and informative members. Its like pitching, ya never have enough good pitching. image

    OK - I'll do a little self-deprecation - I just hit 5000 in 1.5 yrs! Now, there's a guy in need of a life! And I don't post on the open forum or sportstalk - that comes mainly from this forum.

    Sorry, I am a little gun shy right now. I went over to the Open Forum and kind of shot my mouth off. I went over to the testing forum and notice this person Philip who keeps posting on the threads there when people do a test thread. I made a comment on is he just doing this to get his post count up? Well that opened a can of worms and I apoligized, but I had one person who was giving me heck about it. Philip, I believe was ok with my apology, but the other guy was telling I am on the wrong forum? I guess that Open Forum is a different animal?

    I didn't see any of that stuff. Every post I have read from you has been informative and filled with enthusiasm for collecting. That is all. Anything else is coincidence.

    You're a good guy! Don't let the open forum get you down. I don't read it but it appears to be a clique of sorts. Vargha used to be a big contributor there. One of our guys who hasn't posted here in a while - Beachbum - got into a major war over there. I bet it was pretty funny actually.

    This is actually my favorite forum. For one thing, there is a blend of modern and vintage.

    Congrats Pandrews, now go get Rose. It seems like those people on the open forum have been talking to each other so long that act like they are next door neighbors.

    I remember posting over at the test forum a scan of a Mantle card, then I came back awhile later to do another test and somebody had bashed Mickey Mantle telling me what a "nobody" he was. All this just from a test scan - LOL. Naturally I didn't even waste my time replying to this "lunatic." But I'll admit, I occassionally wander over there to the open forum. Mostly garbage threads but sometimes there's some interesting ones.

    Just being a smart@$$, I guess I just don't get it. Philip said this was his way of protesting CU making the Testing Forum a maximun of 4 post per thread instead of what use to be 11. Too much time on his hand's??

    I figure most of the posters over there are either coin shop owners with nothing to do most of the day or they are prisoners locked in on death row waiting to be executed who are allowed internet priviledges once a day as a reward for not biting the prison guards - I'm not sure which.
