2005 P&D kennedys and new mint sets

Wow! Just opened one of the rolls and the coins were horrific. I managed a best a 66 P&D but most likely they are 65+. I also just got the new mint sets. Wow are they nice. It is really easy to see the difference from the satin strikes to business strikes. The color is even different and the surface looks creamy vs. the normal porous look. As everyone says, the philly ones are much nicer.

I ordered my uncirculated mint set on June 3 and received it yesterday. They must vary in appearance because I compared my 2005 set to the 2004 set and there's no difference. image

I just wonder if the Kennedy rolls will be sleepers since these coins are needed to complete sets and the mint sets are different from the bussiness strikes. It might be time to get a few rolls since they don't release them to the public anymore.image

according from the coinworld news. 2005 unc mint set with satin finish. it is NOT ALL SET WILL BE SATIN FINISH, so if you keep it in the orginal bag then later or you sell out. it's will count it at a satin finish. otherwise to those who has taking the coin out. if that not a satin finish , then you know what is happen.

The joker here is unless you leave the coins in the mylar some will grade satin while others MS business strikes!

  • F117ASR: I'm just hoping to still come up with 67 P&D "no satin". Tough to find..

The "P" Satin is nice, but the "D" is pretty elusive in high grade oddly enough.

It'll be interesting to see the population differences. image

I know. I was going to take the best kennedy half from my sets and the denvers were pretty bad. As for the standard business strikes, I agree, it will be tough to find on in 67
