Can eBay auctions be restricted to PayPal bidders?

If I insist on PayPal payment can this be done so people with no PayPal account are not allowed to bid? If yes, how would I do this?

  • I know on fixed price auctions and BIN’s, you can do an "immediate payment required", where once they "buy" your card, they must pay via paypal before the sale is official. You cannot do auctions this way though.

  • yes. Go to your ebay page. Click selling resources then under Buyer Block exemption list click "buyer blocks" and all the way down you'll see the block buyers without a paypal account. check the box.

I still don't use PayPal. And I have turned down a lot of auctions that I would have bid on. I might have even
made the price of the item go higher. I guess my US Postal Money Order isn't good enough for them. I've seen
a lot of auctions recently that say PAYPAL only, and for some reason don't get a lot of bids and the price sure
doesn't seem to go very high.

you can but you may cause snipes to fail. I found out the hard way when my snipe failed saying that I was not eligible , my bid was double the ending bid.
