I always wanted this card and finally had the $ to get it. I am fairly happy with the price being that smr is $450.00 with a pop of only 6. In Beckett a psa gem is listed at $800.00. Anyone know why the smr and Beckett are so far off from each other?

Yes I can see them doing that but I am referring to the psa gem version listed in Beckett at $800.00 as opposed to the smr listing it at $450.00.

Nice card! I'm a Faulk fan myself.
On the Beckett thing - is it true that kids pay more for modern in a Beckett holder and don't even look at PSA?
On the conflict of interest - nothing illustrates it more than a company who's main mission was to provide collectors with pricing - now we are supposed to trust them with stats on their own products?

Mike, I think you nailed it right there. Modern, kids and psa just dont seem to go together. I buy bgs as well as psa. I was really surprised that only me and another bidder were the only two bids. He didnt even bid untill the last five minutes. I thought I was going to get it for only $300.00 oh well I still got it.

I remember when Beckett quit putting down arrows on the cards when a full set went down in value. This was done so the kids wouldnt see their value going down. The majority of the prices for modern cards are too high and the older cards are too low.
The graded cards are no different. There could be a bias on their prices of graded cards, but I feel that Beckett became untrustworthy the minute the got into the grading business anyway.
