<< <i>what would make it easier for buyers and sellers to come together would be if the buyers relaxed the asking prices and supplied pictures in their threads. the pictures issue is the biggest one for me when the items offered only number a couple. just link instead of making members PM, wait for a reply asking for an e-mail address---when they are often in the asking members profile---respond and then wait for the e-mail. Wowzer!!!! >>
The above was written by Keets recently in another thread. What are your thoughts on the subject? Thanks.
Edited to add: I think that Keets has some very good ideas , especially regarding the images and saving some of the inefficient back and forth stuff.

It would be much easier if we could categorize the threads in a way that one could search them more easily. For example, split the "wanted to buys" from the "for sales here" from the "for sale on Ebay". Then some type of search engine to search for what you are looking for.
I have had good luck buying and selling on the BST board, but it sure takes alot of effort.

this is another strange thing about the BST and other forums which runs hand-in-hand with my e-mail reference. go to the top of the page and hit "customize" and then put as many topics on the first page as you like, you should never have to look far for something. click on a members "eyeglasses" icon to find their e-mail address, same thing for their web-site. did you know that you can click on today to get quickly to threads you've replied to and to the forum-wide threads with the most repsonses??
the site really is pretty user friendly, even from the perspective i have which is of a semi-PC conscious part-timer. most of us lean toward the lazy side, though, and don't use the options at hand. with pictures, it's really easy to link to a thread by using the Attach File(s) function at the bottom of the message text box/page when typing a reply. load a jpeg image less than 50k, then just paste that picture's address using the picture icon above the dialogue box, you don't really need a web host, PCGS does it for us with the only limit being the picture size.
now everybody, please post pictures with those coins and i'll bet you get quicker responses from buyers and less hassle after a thread is up. a win-win situation.
