What is the real age of Albert Pujols?

This might be an old topic, but I was thinking about buying one of his high dollar rookies and found several stories disputing his age. He is listed at 25 years old, but one USA Today article claims that some of his teammates put his real age at 29.

Anyone have any insight on this one? At 25, his cards are a great buy, at 29, they are only a good buy. He will probably still have great career stats, but four lost years of production could mean 800 less hits and 150 fewer HR.

While rumors about Pujols age have followed him for years, he doesn't really fit the profile of a player that would shave a few years. While he wasn't born in the US, he came to the country and played some high school baseball. He then went to to a Junior College before being drafted by the Cardinals. That's far from the typical profile for guys that cheat on their ages. If he was signed directly out of the Dominican as a 16 year old, then I would be first in line to question the number, but as it is, I don't see it. Maybe he just really is that good.
