Suggestions for Grading....

How does it work when you want to specify a certain grade or higher? Will they still charge you for looking at the card and not officially grading it?

Also, do I actually have to pay $35 for each '64 Topps Giant to get graded? It states that "all Super Sized cards such as T3's, Cabinets, etc. must be submitted under this service or higher."

Specifying a spefic grade only applies to crossovers, Example: BGS to PSA, and yes you are charged even if it is not holdered.

The $35 is for cards with a value of $1000 or more. You would probably want to go with a Tall Boy submission under Bulk Services at, I believe $8 a card with a 25 order minimum.

The T3 holder is for 6" by 8" (T3-size) cards. Topps Giants, '65 Topps FB, etc. can be submitted under the Tall Boy service.

I only have two '64 Topps Giants to get graded though. Does the 25 minimum mean that I could have those two plus 23 other cards graded? Or, only applies to those type of cards.

I think they all need to be tall boys, however maybe someone could split a submission for you

Would they be acceptable as one of my 'free' renewal submissions, do you think?

  • The tall boy cost of $8 is for a 25-card minimum. You can still get 1-24 of them graded at the $10 rate and save 6 or 7 weeks of grading time.

I have used my free gradings for tall boys before. But, you have to have them on a separate submission than one that would include regular sized cards.
