I just made $ 330 on a Sat morning/afternoon selling nothing but mine, my wifes and the kids junk

Still have loads of stuff to put out tommorow morning

P.S and if your wondering how this post pertains to card collectors , i made sure i got the ok from the wife before hand that all sales this weekend ( except for the $10 my daughter made selling dolls ) can go to CARDS

If I were to suggest my wife put all her junk in a yard sale so I can buy more cards, she'd suggest I put all my cards in a yard sale so she can buy more junk.

For most people, the trick to a successful garage sale is to promise the proceeds to your kids if they help sufficiently.

I have a garage sale every year and make $700-$1000 for just my family(others make $200-$300 and less that are involved). My wife wants me to have two a year and sell all that junk filling the basement and garage. The kids get to spend $50 each and we use the rest on a household item. I do not think my wife would want to run a sale if all the money went to cards, that is a sweet deal. Sales are a lot of work for everyone.

My wife is a very cool lady and i consider myself a lucky guy to have her

She's not a "material girl " and after mortgage and rest of bills are paid ,spends most of her extra money on our two kids.

She also realizes i've had this hobby since 1976 and understands it's important to me so she's pretty cool with me buying cards, up to a point lol . Extra money like we'll make this weekend she won't mind if i spend on cards. Plus like stated earlier she's thrilled to get most of the crap out of the house

P.S we still have a baby's changing table in mint condition if anyone's interested. lmk
