Pavano BOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Yes, the Yankees did win the game, but you've got to feel horrible knowing they decided to take this guy when they could have kept Javy! Pavano is so bad he makes Kevin Brown look like Mordecai "Three Finger" Brown. Ohh you poor, poor Yankees...

Toy Boy, "Grand Slam" Javy couldn't pitch in the Bronx. Damon loves this guy too. Why the heck don't you marry him already and get it over with? That way you will take up less white space on this board.

Before tonight Pavano had two great outings but the Yankees didn't give him any run support.

  • Hey Softparade--too bad the Yankees suck HARD! This was a post about the Yankees, their wonderful signing of a joke pitcher and their ridiculous payroll--instead you make it hockey Vs. baseball? I never said hockey was regarded as big time in the U.S, I know it isn't. Is it still my favorite sport?--why yes it is. Regardless of whether or not hockey will ever be as big, within 10 years the Canadiens will have more championships than the Yankees again and that DOES mean something!

Heh, every time Pavano blows a game, Red Sox Nation is once again grateful that he turned us down and we had to "settle" for Matt Clement. image

Amen to that - just shows that Theo knows his stuff. Most everyone knew Clement was the better pitcher available, but he wasn't the big "name" that Pavano was. The Sox got Clement and Wade Miller for less than half the cost of Pavano and Jaret Wright...

From the AP (referring to the HR he gave up to lose today's game) :

<< <i>It was the 16th home run allowed this year by Pavano, matching his total last season with Florida. Signed to a $39.95 million, four-year contract in the offseason, he has given up 120 hits, most in the major leagues. He fell to 0-4 in six starts since beating the Mets 5-3 on May 23. >>

Big Unit has allowed 16 home runs this year too, only 4 pitchers in the majors have allowed more.

He may have velocity, but the movement on his stuff is gone.

  • Johnson and Pavano look like studs compared to Henn - I've never heard of this dude a few months ago, but he sports an ERA over 11. He allowed 1 run in the second so his ERA went down image

He allowed 3 HRs 6 earned in just over 4 innings. What is it with yankee pitchers giving up 3 bombs an outing...seems to have happened a lot.

10-2 after 7? Good lord that pitching staff of the yankees is pathetic.
