I leave my desk for two minutes. My raw 1940 ms66 red Lincoln proof is out of the safe for the first time
this year. My 16 year old son with the oilly hands shows his friends my coin. How do I safely remove a
thumbprint,the size of Texas,from a proof copper piece?

You might try acetone, but try it on a cheap proof first.

I don't think it can be done properly.
