I can remember going to sleep once with a registry set at #18. I woke up 6 hours later and I was #21.
A little different scenerio than yours but I feel your pain.

It sounds like it was your choice so congratulations I'm doing something similar (i.e., lowering my point total) with my 1938-1964 Proof Jeffs with varieties. I've decided all the 1938-1942 proofs should have some frost on the devices. I've now replaced the non-frosted ones and moved down from third all time to fourth (ok, there aren't a whole lot of completed sets listed). The frosted early proofs make for a nicely matched set with the 1950-1964 cameos/dcams.
