Check out this scammer

Has 6 high end cards. Doesn't know anything about them. Were his Dad's (passed away a couple months ago), great way to honor Father's Day. Oh yeah, each one is pictured with the Mile High Cards background from their last auction. One day auctions with no bids so far.....

I e-mailed him and asked him why the Mile High logo was on the picture behind the card? See if I get response.

  • His feedback is a hoot. Seems he is selling his dirty laundry. My favorite is the buyer who bought a shirt, found it toooooo small and had to use it as a hand-puppet. I also like the "PSA" AROD, that is missing, but sold for $1K. Any person who thinks that any large auction site cannot police this kind of nonsense is mistaken; much easier to collect fees on fraudulent transactions than it is to protect consumers.

The Federal Trade Commission is soon likely going to have fun looking at the Triangle of Consumer Fraud: Scamster + Enabling Auction Site + Enabling Financial Transfer Agent = RICO.

I collect this set and follow the market on the 48 Bowman basketball so I had to laugh at this obvious scam because the 1948 Bowman Leo Klier PSA 10 (One of a Kind) which he has listed for sale was just sold in the Spring Mile High under Lot 436 at a closing price of $3743.25.

I just saw those and had to e-mail the guy: "I happen to have just received this item from Mile High on behalf of a friend. Did they clone it and send you one too? Just curious."

Anybody have an eBay fraud reporting link handy?

Just as amazing that Mile High chooses to do nothing as far as I can tell. I emailed them telling them that their intellectual property, (scans) were being used by this scammer to commit fraud. All they have to do is contact ebay with the auction #'s (I supplied the first one to them) and the scammer will be slammed by ebay. Seeing that a couple days later the scam is still going on I guess that they don't care about where their name and property is being used

There's a silver lining about a scammer who uses stolen scans with "Mile High" logos clearly visible: It's proof that some scammers are still really, really dumb. If their average intelligence were to rise even a few IQ points ...
