86-87 Fleer Stickers

I have come to recently own ~50 86-87 Fleer Stickers in wonderful shape. Most should grade Mint 9 with a several Gem 10 candidates and a smattering of 8's. My question to all ye wise masters is...would the "gum" residue on the back of each and every one of them affect their grade with the dreaded ST qualifier? I ask this only as it is my understanding that all stickers from this set would/will/do have the same gum residue. Thanking you in advance for your gracious help!

if the residue is noticeable, imo there would be a qualifier. i had an elway rookie come back an 8ST and i didn't notice it until i received the card...it was very very difficult to spot. no pun intended.

    Thanks,

Without a doubt, if there is a wax stain on the back, you will get an ST qualifier. But, on this particular issue, the wax residue is pretty easy to remove.

  • if it has the wax residue when you send it in you will get an st. also check the size of your Jabbar stickers they tend to be cut small from the factory and if they are they wont grade them.image
