What to do with factory sealed 89 UD set...?

I have a factory sealed UD set that I'd like to get rid of. Looks like the going price on ebay for these is about 35-50 bucks. Basically, there are two options I have: (1) try to unload it at ebay or at a show, hoping to get as much as I can (2) crack it open, hope that the griffey and johnson are gradeable and then sell the two graded cards (and try to sell the looted set for a nomial price or donate it to charity).

Any thoughts?

Has anyone had any luck with submitting cards from a factory sealed 89 UD set, or am I looking at a likely pair of 8s (or worse)?

From what I know, the Griffey's look awfull coming out of factory sets. I'd sell it sealed.

Every Griffey I've pulled from a factory set has been Ex-mt. Agree with Lee- sell it as is.

Remember that the Griffey card is card #1 and, if I recall correctly the cards in the factory set are in numerical order.....in other words the Griffey card has had a little more exposure because it is on top of the pile so to speak.

My experience is the same with Griffey's from factory sets -- just one, but a 6. A surface wrinkle around his neck was the problem with my card, and I understand it is pretty common. It is one of those things that was easy to miss the 1st time, but completely obvious now.
