The JB3 Collection reaches a new level for commemorative collecting.

For the first time in coin collecting, the JB3 Collection, has assembled a nearly complete collection of ALL United States commemoratives graded by PCGS and all are Mint State or Proof. The modern commemoratives have many 70's and middle to high Mint State grades for the early Gold and Silver commemoratives.

The set can be viewed under "Complete sets" in the PCGS Registry area.

Here is the news from PCGS: Nearly Complete Collection of Commemoratives Now Available for Viewing

I think this is an historic collection and congratulations to the JB3 collection.

  • Wow! Almost 350 coins are required to complete that set. My congratulations on an awesome set.

I first thought I'd like to complete that set. Then I thought I would probably pick either MS or PR on the moderns. Then I saw that the $50 Pan Pac commems were the only coins missing. From lessons learned here I know I should go for the keys first. So I thought perhaps I should just buy one of the $50 Pan Pac coins rather than the other almost 350 coins. Anyway, not to detract from that awesome feat, that is what went through my mind. image

Todd: Keep the Marine Corps coin out of the set even after you get both $50 Pan-Pac coins! This way you can aLWAYS say this set is forever aLMOST cOMPLETE!

Otherwise, there is nothing else left to do!

Get a couple of raw Marine Corps coins and watch them tone in your old cardboard albums before slabbing. image

Would like an annual update until the coin is sufficiently toned. 20 years should do it?image

RAW -- MARINES . . . . Somehow, this is how it should be! Be sure to keep multiple Marines in those Danscos, too!! image

    BTW, very nice set....
