My 1934 Goudey Set
I have purchased several cards from them, and chat with them at every show I go to.

I make sure to pick up my purchases in person, because Bill is always willing to talk and is a great source of information.
Collector of Pittsburgh Pirates cards for a slightly less stupid reason.

<< <i>Nice guy he may be - but his raw cards are not in holders for a reason. And, he slightly overgrades even those (not unusual of course, but worth mentioning). >>
It's always struck me as odd when someone deals in both graded and raw cards.
Obviously they know the value in getting cards (particularly higher end cards) graded...what would prevent someone from doing so?
I consider Wayne and Bill to be the BEST dealers I've ever come across. Their raw grading is as accurate as anybody on vintage, especially pre-war. And yes, their raw cards are not in holders for a reason. Because they don't consider them high enough grade! For a long time they only graded NM/MT or better cards. Then they slowly moved into grading lesser grade star cards. To insinuate that their cards are not in holders for any other reason is lousy. They may not always come precisely in the grade you want, but they will grade.
They still submit to PSA. I sat next to Bill (at the PSA table) at the last Fort Washington show, and watched him submit a thick stack of Play Ball's. They are also very enjoyable to talk to at shows. Very honest and upfront with their cards.
Currently collecting.....your guess is as good as mine.
The last card I bought from them was a '33 Sport Kings that they called Ex. It graded out PSA 7. Pretty consistant with my prior purchases from them. I've never had one grade lower than the raw grade.
About 2 1/2 years ago I was at the SF Labor day show on a Saturday morning. I handed Wayne my wantlist and he saw I needed a '57 Bakep error. He knew he had seen it that morning, so he covered his table and walked up and down with me until he had found the dealer with the card. I bought it and went back to offer him a finders fee, and he declined. Wouldn't even let me buy him coffee. At that point he didn't know my name and didn't recognize me as a mail order client, so he didn't have any motive other than to be a nice guy.
You won't have any problems ordering from them. And IMO it is the best laid out catalog in the hobby.

My eBay Store
BigCrumbs! I made over $250 last year!
Wayne told me he doesn't grade everything because he has a lot of customers that don't like graded cards, and he likes to give them some options. Considering how long he's been around and the client base I"m sure he's built up it sounded reasonable.

1.) t206 1910 Jerry Freeman advertised VG/EX for $35.00. Came back an SGC 70!
2.) 1933 Goudey Paul Waner advertised VG/EX for $75.00. Came back an SGC 60!
3.) t206 1910 Hal Chase advertised for VG for $55.00. Came back an SGC 40.
Top notch dealer with good communication. Grades ungraded cards very strictly, wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again.
1) Many people like to collect sets/cards strictly in raw form (as I have religiously done with 1955 Topps).
2) Sometimes cards are worth more to me as a seller raw. If I must pay $6+ to grade a card and it will then sell for $10, I am better off selling it raw if I think I can get $8.
It's that simple. Problem is that too many sellers overgrade their cards. That is why I decided that there is no way that will happen when I got back into the hobby again this past January. The only reason I sell any cards at all is so I can raise many to collect and build other cards I need, not to make a living. I don't want to be ripped off and I of course don't want to be ripped off either.
