BS Auction of the Night

1955 Topps Duke Snider

Trys to mislead in the title with the stuff about SMR for a PSA 9 being $14,000. Continues to talk about PSA 9's in the text. The card up for auction is an 8OC and the bidding is up to $610, I feel bad for the high bidder.

Holy Crap, bidding is up to $1,725.
  • It's either vigilante bidding or people not looking at the damn pictures. SMR is $365 on his effective 6. Maybe being generous a 6.5 SMR roughly $500.

    Let's recap the past week:

    1. A thread about this same type of listing 8OC listed a 9NQ
    2. A post about the time he bought 3 cards labeled as trimmed, and sold them for triple his price without
    disclosing the trim job
    3. This thread - same story as number 1

I e-mailed the high bidder and looked back at auction #5201605872. The seller bought the Snider only two weeks ago for $355.00! I too like how he keeps talking about a PSA 9 when the card that he is selling is the equal to a PSA 6. Although the high bidder may be a shill as well.

rpsesq64 wants this card awful bad, the way he repeatedly bids up increment by increment until he breaks through the other guy's proxy. He also bought a PSA 7 version of this card on May 2 for $610. Why would he bid up to $1725 for a PSA 8oc that's worth less? Maybe the qualifier doesn't mean anything to him. Maybe he's bidding based on the card that's in the title and not the card that's really for sale.

Gotta love that.. Not only did the grader not feel it was worthy of a PSA 9, but didn't feel it was quite good enough to make it into an unqualified 8 holder. What a tool.

Wonder what he'd give me for my GAI 5 of this same card?

I was looking at his 1915 CJ card the other day. No where is it mentioned that the card is OC...

    ..........

You are bidding on a 1915 Cracker Jack George Baumgardner #131 MINT PSA 9. This card is in very nice shape especially since it is almost 100 years old. Please see pictures.

THIS CARD IS JUST IMMACULATE. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN GRADED A PSA GEM MINT 10!!!
