Ebay Items I'm Watching - A First

<< <i>Items I'm Watching (No items) >>

I was wondering how many items you typically watch at one time - of course we all know that ebay allows us to watch more auctions than they used to.

But, today I went to "my ebay" and I am watching nothing! Zero! Since starting on ebay this is a first. Anyone else ever get it to zero?

I know this is dumb but I was just curious? Humor a guy who hasn't been feeling well lately.
This definitely permanently disqualifies me from being on the "Hardcore" List! image

Mike, really hope you feel better real quick ....

My watches hit ZERO alot. I am very busy with life and am concentrating ONLY on 78 Topps baseball. Not such a hot
variety listed all the time so my watch list is small ..

lol never mike, however if my feedback for the month is at or under 30 I feel I did a good job!
    Good for you.

Get well man!! Mine rarely hits zero. It will in a month or so but on a regular basis it is always populated -- either with a set I'm working on or cards from a set I'd like to build. I like to gauge closing prices for a set before I dive in.
Looking for a Glen Rice Inkredible and Alex Rodriguez cards
  • Hope you get to feeling better soon Mike! I tend to watch about 15-20 things, with about half of those cards I dream of getting some day, lol. For the most part I just like seeing where stuff Im really interested in ends. Though lately I've been buying a lot.

Never is where I would've predicted I would stand. Where's Lothar?

    Dan
Don't you just bookmark some auctions to see where an item will go? I do that on some items. But if you are too busy - I can understand - what are you doing? Going all mature on me? image

I told my wife and she was shocked!

Sure I do, like the 78 Terry Foster PSA 9 (Pop of 2) that just went off at $118. Sat at that winning price for FOUR days too.

Also, no way I would grow mature overnight Mike. I'm just bogged down with work! A good thing really. PLUS, I have been spackling and painting the house every weekend lately. PLUS a long drive to Florida coming up with the family ..... I'm busy! image

I usually watch 10-20 auctions. Lately, I have been hesistant to bid on wax, especially 70s-80s, due to an over abundance of scam artists and misinformation. Since my incident with the Jordan Rookie card, I have limited my purchases of raw too. Therefore, my "watch list" is down to just a few auctions now. Most of the auctions are PSA cards from limited sellers (BBCexchange, 4sharpCorners, FootballCcardStore, etc). You are not alone.

Recently, I have purchased some good stuff at fair prices from board members here.

One of the best things eBay ever did was expanding the watch list limit from 30 items to 100. I've usually got somewhere in the neighbourhood of 50 or 60 items, but I've hit the 100 limit a few times.

I rarely dip under 70 items and very frequently max out.

I"m much more shocked you discussed your ebay habits with your wife than the fact that your watch list is at zero.
Mine just hit zero for the first time since November. Feels kinda good- but of course Mastro's auction went live today, so I've got a few on there.

I'm usually watching 50-100 auctions at all times. Most are just to see how much things go for...one can dream can't one?
  • Get well soon Mike!

Mine dipped under 50 after BBC's auctions earlier image

Is it just me or was the watchlist max 20 not too long ago. I have had that same experience lately Mike and I was stunned. Partly because I have been trying to get a lot of stuff I don't care about out, and the other part is that I snipe the auctions I REALLY want. I didn't know they expanded from 20 to 30 let alone to 100!

HA! Now that I look there are 52 items in there, and ZERO active. I used to just clear it out when I hit the limit but I guess they increased the limit so I haven't been prompted to do that in a while.

I usually have 5 to 7 items I am watching. Usually items that are 4 to 5 days from finishing. My wife has no idea what I am bidding on. Don't think she cares as long as I do not break the bank. She has never shown interest in my collecting habits. Though she was all into that beanie baby crap when it became big. How many of your wifes keep watch on what you bidding on or spending?
