Anyone doing 74 tt bb!

Guys,

Anyone firing at the 74 traded set would like to hear some comments I just put together my set in nrmtmt+ still looking for a few.

Is the checklist that tough.

  • Yes, The checklist is that tough! I have a few extra PSA 9's and a bunch of 8's if you need them. This is a very tough set do to the lack of interest and the terrible centering. There just is not a large selection to choose from unlike the regular issue. PM me if you are interested and I will give you a list of what I have.

Apparently the checklist is very tough...but I got lucky. About three years ago I found four of them at the Chicago Sun Times show, just mixed in with a bunch of other 1974's. I graded two of them and got 9's. I kept one for my collection and sold the other on ebay for about $50-60. This winter I send another one in with one of the $5 specials and it also got a 9. I put it on ebay and to my pleasant SHOCK it was the center of a bidding war and sold for $750! Amazing that a .25 investment plus $5 grading fee can turn into a $700+ profit.

According to the pop report there has only been 3 9's graded so it looks like your find has produced all 3 of them

I would not mislead a soul on this sale. If anything, I undervalued the final total. I just checked and it actually sold for $760.
