Insurabce question

I mailed a card this wed. It had $50 insurance and DC. I went to USPS web site to see if it was delivered, and it said they attempted delivery. I always thought they didn't need asignature if the item was insured for less then $100? Any know the reason for this?

<< <i>You do not need a signature for insurance........but you do need a signature for DC. >>
Incorrect. There are two types of confirmation: Delivery Confirmation (bright green tag) and Signature Confirmation (bright pink), which is more expensive. Only the latter requires a signature.
