GAI Continued

I posted last week about my difficulties with GAI in getting an autographed Tony Conigliaro card authenticated and returned to me. I received a phone call and email from Mike Baker, President of Authentication, assuring me that he had my card in his hand and that it would be mailed. He even gave me a tracking number. A week later, no card. Am I naive to think that the president of a reputable (supposedly) company would not out and out lie to me? Am I being too demanding and impatient? I think not. They received my card on April 5. On June 11 I have no card nor money back. These guys are either very incompetent, or very dishonest. If I forfeit my chance for a refund by posting these harsh sentiments, so be it. Collectors should be warned about this very shady company and not risk their valuable cards to them.

  • These things can take up to 10 days when being sent. Seems like a lot has been slipping through Mr. Bakers hands lately....

Mike Baker is a good guy and altho they have been messin up lately - if he gave you a tracking number, I want to believe he thought everything was OK - it could be that someone down his chain told him this and he is just the "messenger" - let us know if you receive the card next week - I'm bettin you do.

    Good luck

Use the tracking number to see if they did in fact ship you something. USPS tracking numbers are pretty slow to update, but after a week there should be something posted. FedEx and UPS update pretty fast.
