  • Congratulations David.

That's one of my favorite sets of coins and I ached when I had to sell it. And Michael is right: That coin in deep cameo is absolutely spectacular.

    Congratulations again, and ...

    Enjoy!

I am so appreciative of all of your help support, now and up to now. And thanks for your kind comments here. High and valued praise from such a group!

I'll have to say, this is my beloved series. It's a classic design, and until recently was a private little backwater for Bruce Scher, me and a handful of others. There remains nothing more stunning for me than this simple, classic design of Miss Liberty in Cameo or blue tissue-toned.

I was frankly surprised that the two coins I acquired in the Long Beach auction moved me past Bruce Scher's classic set in points. But my set was built on the shoulders of giants. Its rank would have been unattainable, had I not been bequeathed four coins from Bruce's set when he sold it. This sort of shuffling, I expect, will become more frequent as people build optimal sets in various series over time.

Anyway, I'm obviously thrilled I've reached the pinnacle in this series.

Thanks to you all. This is a great hobby. (*sniffle*) image

Quite an achievment..David is a great guy and kept the pressure on me for years to improve my set..Im not surprised he has eclipsed my set in just a few short months since my set was retired...good job..
