  • Hey guys,

I am looking for certified ms62+, the higher the better!! An ms67 would rock but that is like asking to realign the stars, very next to impossible to find.

    TorinoCobra71 PM sent!!

    Still looking for higher grades!!!

  • Is that a tough coin to find???? Seems like it would be hard to find anything below a 63 in a slab??? I have a raw coin that is probably a 63...but I never considered sending it in image

I probably wouldnt send it in either. I have searched for all the coins from 1980 and have found nearly every one in a fantastic grade including a pop 2 coin (one that I didn't purchase since it cost $5k). But in the year I ahve been working on a 1980 mint set, I have only seen 2 1980 D kennedys for sale. Unfortunately I was sleeping or somethng beacuse I missed them both!image

So, in my opinion and probably Ernie's too, this is one of the hardest coins to find from 1980!!

At the time Zach was TTT 2 WTB threads (this one along with the 'WTB 1980 P Washington in MS67' thrread).....this is against board rules.

I see others don't know/follow/care about these rules! image

By the way Zach, I do agree with you. I searched for over a year before I found my ms66.
Good luck to you on your quest. image

    Good luck Zach

    I have my eye's open for one,image
  • Thanks Ernie and mas3387, I think I found one in ms64 but sheesh this coin is next to impossible!! If you guys find and extra one that would be very cool, if not I will find one or die trying, hehe!!!!

Ajia I had no idea that it was etiquette to only have one thread. I thought that these were two very different items and that two threads would bring out the different types of collectors, i.e. the Washington guys would respond to that thread and the Kennedy guys would respond to the Kennedy thread. I will try to minimize the amount of times I bump each thread. If you had been reading my many previous threads, you would see that I go several days most times before bumping any of my threads! I am not trying to get my posts to the top every single day. I just try to keep up with them when I happen to be on the boards. Sometimes it is days before I come to the boards, why you ask because there are TOO MANY GRUMPY people on the boards.

Here is one to prove it Link!! There is a gap of me bumping this thread of about two months, from feb 11th to april 20th!!!

Thanks kindly for pointing out this mishap of mine!!
