What's The Longest You've Waited for a Redemption?

I rarely buy modern, but sometime after Christmas I purchased a box of 2004 Upper Deck Series 1. I pulled my very first redemption card: a blue ink Roger Clemens auto, numbered to 25. Very cool. I redeemed it on-line on January 18. The redemption card stated that it would take 8-10 weeks. 8 weeks, 10 weeks, 12 weeks came and went, still no Clemens. At 15 weeks, I send UD an email asking how much longer. They reply that the athelete has not yet signed the card, thanks for choosing Upper Deck, yadda yadda. It's been 20 weeks and still no Clemens. I'm not expecting instant gratification, but 20 weeks?!? image

  • I would call them and talk to someone, as I have many times before. Though it may not help it get there any faster, it always made me feel better to talk to a live person instead of getting what looked like automatically generated emails. As to your question, I have waited along time. Longer then 20 weeks. GL getting more info or actually receiving the card! image

It should be titled "what was the longest you've waited to get your cards back from PSA".

If it was a 2004 ser 1 box, then it's been a lot longer than 20 weeks. I would bet he's never signing those cards and you should start agitating for a generous substitution.

I waited a little over a year for an Upper Deck redemption signature. I was pretty patient since a lot of the other ones I had redeemed were out in a month, sometimes up to 3 months. Sometimes they are waiting on the sigs from the atheletes, so it can take a while. After 6 months if you get real impatient they will offer you something else as a replacement, but just wait it out. Hey, you could be expecting one back from Fleer.............

I have waited a year for an Michael Jordan auto from UD - but they did finally ship it. I noticed they now say that if you wait longer than 16 weeks for a redemption, you can call them and request something of equal value if you do not want to wait.

I waited 2 years 7 months for a 1998 Collectors Edge Fred Taylor redepmption.

I would suggest that you email UD and ask for an replacment

Wow, I just submitted online my first ever redemption to Upper Deck from their MLB Ultimate Collection/Ultimate Game Jersey Signatures. It is for a Steve Carlton card. It said online that I should receive it in 12-16 weeks and that they are waiting for Carlton to sign.

I guess I better not hold my breath.
I collect Vintage Cards, Commemorative Sets, and way too many vintage and modern player collections in Baseball (180 players), Football (175 players), and Basketball (87 players). Also have a Dallas Cowboy team collection.

I have been waiting since Nov of 2003 for a 2003 SP Authentic Randy Moss Auto'd jersey card #'d to 50. I have called twice asking for a replacement and still nothing. I'm really begining to hate Upper Deck.
