I grew up in the midwest and my favorites lean towards running backs:
1) 1955 Topps All-American Four Horsemen PSA 7 - I went to ND and this one has sentimental value to me.
2) 1976 Topps Walter Payton PSA 8 - Not really vintage, but Walter was the first FB star I followed.
3) 1958 Topps Jim Brown PSA 7 - I still think he is the best RB of all-time.
My other favorite is a PSA 10 1989 Score Barry Sanders. I am working on the top 10 Career Rushing leaders. The last card I need is Franco Harris at #10. I'm holding out since Marshall Faulk is only 350 yds away from taking #10.

I love some of the football action poses.
1. Johnny Unitas PSA 7 rookie. I bought it for $300 about 10 years ago raw and had it graded several years ago. My favorite card from my favorite player.
2. Otto Graham PSA 8 rookie. I bought this recently from Louis Bollman (sp?) for $725. I had wanted this card for years!!!
3. Tough to choose - but probably my PSA 9 1969 Joe Namath. I traded for this card raw years ago before I knew anything about grading. It was the first card I had graded - at a show in Chicago 6 or 7 years ago.
All the cards above are registered in my sets (Greg Montieth's Collection).
Regards,
Greg M.

<< <i>A little new to FB collecting, what are the top three most coveted cards (usually equates to the most expensive.) >>
Well, you'd have to put Bronko Nagurski 1935 Chicle card at the top, followed by, in my opinion, the Knute Rockne card from the same set, but #3 could be any of the following:
1933 Sport Kings (I haven't really followed the prices of these, so I'm just guessing)
Jim Thorpe
Knute Rocke
Red Grange
1952 Bowman Large
Jim Lansford
1965 Topps
Joe Namath RC
1960 Bell Brand Rams
Gene Selawski SP (At least it would be coveted by me )
