Is it just me or do these coins make you dizzy if you stare at them too long.

I bought this many years ago. It has ANACS papers.

Very nice piece, Bill. This one doesn't have papers, just ngc 62 bn plastic, but I like the colors.

pharmer: Is your coin round? Ooooh, it hurts to look at it!

Here are a bunch of 1955 DDO cent pictures. I have some more work to complete this "grading set."

No, I do NOT own all of these!!! I only own ONE of these but I must admit I do own more than 5 1955 DDO's and am trying to a grading set but will never complete one! It is a LOT of WORK!

Here's a pic of the coin I bought from Heritage (their pic since I haven't taken my own yet...)

Stman...that is BEEEYOOOOTIFUL! What grade? How long have you had it? And how much (if I may ask) did it set you back?

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Thanks for the good words....... It is holdered by PCGS at MS-63 BN. Had it about a year. You can ask but that don't mean I'm gonna
tell ya.image At the time, I paid very strong which I have no regrets. I waited for the one that spoke to me and jumped on it. The coin is
what mattered to me. I see pieces in lower grade and eye-appeal (IMO) go for about what I paid for my example just 1 year later.

I'd show pictures of the two I had, but i sold them for $10.00 each. Of course that was right after i found them in change in the fifties. Oh well.

Route66, you're dealing with it well, not like you're dwelling on it for fifty years. Seriously, did they still have some color, was it much of a big deal then?

The 1955 DDO is the coolest coin ever, IMHO.
  • I think if I were to have only one coin per series, the 55DDO would be it for me with Lincoln Cents!! image
