Haha, I was just about to comment on that - 2 one run losses in a row will affect that.

They've scored 295 runs, allowed 297. So their Win % should be (295)^1.83/[(295)^1.83+(297)^1.83]
Which equals 49.7% so they're about 1.4% under that, which over the course of their 58 games played is a little under 1 win.

edit to add: They were 7.5% above it last year so I'll be looking forward to more 1 run losses with an occasional blowout win

The only significant deviations so far are Arizona: 9.2% OVER their statistical W/L and Milwaukee: 6.5% UNDER (even after tonight).

Brian, I am a computer programmer but I majored in Math as an undergraduate so I always enjoyed analyzing baseball statistics.

Maybe you're not such a bad guy after all I'm working on a master's in mechanical engineering so most of the math I do is numerically solving differential and partial differential equations. I usually use MATLAB, which is about as close as I'll get to programming.
