See you next year Shaq and Dwayne! Go Pistons!

I can finally breath now that the series is over. The Heat are a real good team, but in the end championship experience won out. I was in Detroit for the first two championships with Isiah and this team is just like the old Bad Boys. On to the Spurs!

I think SA is the favorite. The key for Detroit is can Billups/Rip beat Tony Parker/Ginobilli.

If Wade hadn't gotten hurt, there wouldn't even have been a game 7.

Possibly. Dwayne is a great player, but injuries are part of the game. As a biased Pistons fan, I think Dwayne deserved his injury by taking a flop again Rasheed Wallace.

Also the Heat were at home, Dwayne played well, Shaq played well, and they still lost. So I don't buy that game 6 would have been a Heat win.

Anyways, I'm glad that series is done.

He 'deserved' the injury? Come on now. It's not like NO piston has ever flopped going for a foul call.

Wade didn't play game 6, and was obviously done by the third quarter last night.

  • ndelo, get it right. The guy actually spells his name Dwyane. Sorry to be petty, but that's enough to turn me off--no love here.

And no, it would not have mattered. Shaq and Kobe last year, Shag and Dwyyyyyyyyyyyyyyane this year, the better team won.

Still, Spurs win a great series in 6.

Axtell - I said I was biased image

Dwayne is a great player. I wish we had drafted him instead of Darko "Shawn Bradley" Milicic. Even more I wish I stocked up on his rookie cards instead of Carmelo and Darko. Dwayne's injuries isn't the reason the Heat lost. Van Gundy got outcoached by Larry Brown and it looks like Shaq is starting to decline. Shaq became very average after the first quarter.

The Heat will be back next year, but they will need another big man. Seeing Shaq, Zo, and Laettner on the floor gave me flashbacks to all of the 92/93 basketball product I busted open.

No wonder I can't find any of his cards on ebay.

If Wade played all the games healthy the Heat wouldn't have beaten the Pistons. Although Wade and Shaq are fantatic individual players, the Pistons are a perfect model of unequaled team play and unselfish players. The Pistons are a storied class organization that is worthy of much praise. GO PISTONS. Text

I don't know why you guys talk about this stuff in absolutes. You want to know the truth? The Heat probably had about a 55-60% chance of winning the series. And they probably had about a 55% chance of winning game 7. Probability happens.

All this talk about 'they would have won' or 'this team would have been no match' is crazy. They send limos for guys like that in Vegas.
