Aconte, what'd you think of the Red Man Slaughter price??

1952 Red Man Enos Slaughter PSA 9

It seems that only high grade '52 Ted Williams have sold for more.

Strong price. It would of went a lot higher if RGOLD wanted to push it up. No stones I guess....image

Other red man cards besides the Williams have gone higher. SGC 96 Feller and Psa 9 Mays are two that
come to mind. Sgc 88 Berra went for around $3100.

A good price though since the third bidder was in the ballpark.

  • I lost my stones when I got outbid on a 1952 Bobby Thompson PSA 9 at over $6,000. Same bidder, who is putting together an awesome set. I figured he probably put a max bid in that neighborhood for the Slaughter card, but what would be the point in running him up.

I'll continue to bid what I think is a fair price, and if he outbids me at lower prices than he might be willing to go, then so be it.

I was glad to see the underbids on the card. The Red Man market seems fairly strong considering the new supply that has come on the market in the last year.

Haven't talked to you, Tony, in awhile. Been busy with my move. You're still da man !

    Ron,

Hope all is well. I've been reading your posts. Congrats on the T206 cards.
I haven't been doing much except sent a small batch hoping to cross.

Anyone interested in red man's should check out his site. Like Ron the site is first class!

RGOLD, you're a bigger man than I....sometimes the only condolence i have when the deep pockets keep stealing my cards is to know i made them pay the absolute most they were willing to. Some may be thinking, they should have sniped....to that i say, people are predictable!
