    << <i>Wow you got one up to MS68. Congrats

    Were these all pulled from mint sets?

    Two MS68s ... and a big Yes to the mint sets ...

    There are a few more submissions I am waiting to hear back from which contain coins pulled from mint sets ... then I will see if I can upgrade the MS64s out of this submission.

  • Oops sorry missed the other 68

    Double congrats

    One more thing - what do you do with the other coins out of the sets?

    Usually submit the 1/2p 20p, 50p commems, £1, and £2 coins and the rest I have traded off already. When I get the rest of the coins I have in for grading back I will keep the highest grades and the remainder will be up for grabs to whoever wants them. I just sent the last of the submissions in last week so it will be a while before everything comes back. When they do I will post in one of the weekend swaps.

    Request;

    Please post a picture of that 1988 £1 coin. It's just i haven't seen a good one in a long, long time. Actually i haven't seen one in a long, long time.

    If it was raw i think i'd be tempted to buy it.

    Hopefully it should be in hand in about four days or so at which time I will give it my best shot at grabbing a good picture.

    Thanks!

    1988 is my personal favourite of all the £1 coin designs... that and because in circulation they're as rare as hen's teeth. One a year if you're lucky and that's when you're looking for one!
