1969 Topps Football set- what would you pay??

Piccolo is nrmt, Csonka is ex, Namath ex, and the rest of the set is ex/exmt with about 20% nrmt. Set books $550. I didn't see any completed auctions on ebay, except for one, but that set had 69 written on the backs of cards.

It's a good idea to write the year on the back of all your cards.

I wouldn't pay more than a couple hundred bucks for it. That's one set that a 5 or 6 looks really awful in, but in high grade is one of the best looking IMO. I couldn't find a "set" price in the SMR for this set, just sum of singles pricing, which isn't neccessarily accurate. An Ex Csonka is only going to set you back $40 and the rest are about the same, except a Piccolo in a 7 or better is $90+.

    Hope that helps.

The no border 1st series doesn't look to sharp if the corners are slightly dinged. SMR doesn't have anything after 1960's FB in set prices does it? Nothing as recent as 69 that's for sure.

  • About six months ago I had recorded ebay prices for sales of this set.

One described as EX to NM went for $303 including shipping.

One described as 75% near mint went for $516 including shipping.

Another described as EX to NM went for $281 including shipping.

    Hope this helps!
